Property Care Manager - Horticulture Client Manager

Horticultural Property Care Manager

Pay : 65k-95k + commensurate with experience

Glengate is a leader in high-end residential landscaping. Our firm provides design/build/ and maintenance services to clients throughout Connecticut and New York.

Become a part of a dedicated professional landscape team that services some of the most prestigious residential properties in the country. Our Property Care Managers are the clients’ primary contact with our company. They oversee each property to ensure that all agreements and projects are fulfilled to the client’s satisfaction as well as consistently proposing new and creative ways in which their clients can enhance their properties.

Role

You will be part of a team with a strong collaborative work ethic that is passionate about putting their Horticultural skills to work. This is not a Monday-Friday 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM job. Projects and other duties take place when weather permits, when clients are available, and when crews can be scheduled. This means each day is a little different and hours will fluctuate, Saturdays are occasionally required. While there is some Work from Home potential, this is primarily a place-based position.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Execute all major management aspects of landscape installation from planning through completion for a high volume and variety of projects.
  • Establish a holistic property management strategy and design for each assigned client.
  • Ability to see properties potential and effectively propose and execute projects to meet assigned sales goal.
  • Work seamlessly with our entire team in a positive and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Direct and work collaboratively with internal teams, partners, vendors, contractors, and key staff, including on-site coordination and operational logistics.
  • Serve as a client’s first port of call to access Glengate’s variety of services.
  • Responsible for safeguarding successful relationships with our clients. You will be the primary conduit between the client and the company.
  • Guarantee that all administrative duties are delivered with efficiency, high quality and in a timely manner. This includes becoming a master user of our software.
  • Employ excellent time management skills not limited to balancing maintenance management responsibilities with a thriving sales role and timely client communication.
  • Remain active in acquiring knowledge pertinent to horticulture, project management and industry standards.
  • Manage communications effectively and in a timely manner throughout the company.
  • Actively participate in the betterment of your team and coworkers by displaying empathy, respect and building relationships.

Qualifications

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills, and the ability to execute tasks with a high degree of professionalism and excellence, especially under pressure.
  • Effective knowledge of a landscape’s potential to sell required enhancements. This position has a strong sale emphasis, and each Property Care Manager is assigned a sales goal.
  • Must exhibit a strong ability to re-prioritize tasks on-the-fly while making sound, independent decisions that are consistent with the organization’s mission.
  • Possess a confident customer service orientation, and professional demeanor.
  • Competencies in fact finding, planning, problem solving and innovative thinking.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
  • This position combines landscape management with enhancement sales and requires the ability to balance both.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Horticulture or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, bend, climb stairs, and stand for an extended period of time.
